Before coming to Wallace, I struggled with school refusal, which made it difficult to stay on top of my schoolwork. At Wallace, I was able to create a schedule that worked for me. The staff were always flexible and supportive, no matter the situation. What stood out to me about Wallace was how student-focused the program is, unlike others I’ve tried. I’m incredibly grateful for the fresh start Wallace Academy has given me, and I will always appreciate the opportunity for a new beginning.

Hello my name is Ryleigh & I attended the school Ms.Fair taught at & Ms.Perezic was my therapist. When I was their student I learned valuable skills that better who I am today. Ms. Fair was always there for me and was especially helpful when it came to my education. Her energy made me feel welcoming and safe. She also worked to better help my understanding of the problems I was having in school. I had trouble understanding and learning the curriculum and as I struggled she made it easier for me. Ms. Perezic was there for me as well. She helped me find what worked for me on the outside and supported me. When I struggled she was there by my side no matter what. Although I could be a handful she always knew how to handle the situation. Her energy was strong but light. She was a great support system for me and to also better my education. Together they were the best duo I can ask for in my growth in school as well as at home.

When my son came to Wallace Academy he was struggling both emotionally and academically. He had attended a couple of alternative schools and just spiraled deeper into despair. When he was given the opportunity to meet the staff at Wallace Academy we had very little hope of anything working for him as nothing else had. Almost immediately our son’s life began to change for the better. They listened to him and understood (more than he did at the time) what was holding him back from having confidence and goals. Today he is thriving even more than we could have hoped. My son is a very happy young man with lots of educational goals. Wallace Academy and the caring, professional staff means the world to our son but also this family. Thank you so much. 

The team at Wallace Academy is an instrumental influence to their students’ success. Their collaboration with parents, other staff, and students is incredible and they have been a delight to work with. They have always been understanding and optimistic toward each student’s needs and how to best complete their accomplishments.

The staff at Wallace Academy assessed my son’s medical records, which contained his complex medical history and his learning capabilities. They were attentive to his underlying issues which were the cause for his delays. They were able to identify the best approach for his needs and were supportive throughout his coursework. They were able to give my son the pride and confidence he never had before. Ms. Fair is one of the most caring and influential people he has ever had in his life. She and Ms. Perezic not only helped him with school, but also helped him to learn how to express himself in a positive manner and with coping skills that will stay with him throughout his life.

An insightful administrator, Ms. Fair helps make it easy for kids to excel. Her in depth, caring demeanor allows her to strategize each individual student’s way of learning with an in depth plan. She takes extra time to personally get involved and get to know each student. Ms. Fair applies her strong qualifications, and it shows in her involvement with the students.
