Wallace Academy offers a Mentorship Program for eligible students. Mentors include Wallace Academy alumni that are now working or pursuing degrees in college or trade school settings. Mentors and mentees are carefully paired based on identified areas of growth. The goal is to establish meaningful connections that foster resilience, confidence, and overall engagement with the school system. Mentors provide support, guidance, and aim to motivate their mentees to accomplish their goals in school and in life. Mentorship is aligned with the Positive Youth Development Framework, which is rooted in protective factors, including positive peer relationships. Mentorship is a known evidence-based strategy for supporting students that struggle to attend school.
