Q: What is the enrollment process at Wallace Academy?

A: Wallace Academy admits students that are referred for outplacement by their serving district. 


Q: What special education eligibility categories does Wallace Academy accept?

A: Students attending Wallace Academy may be identified with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Specific Learning Disability (SLD), Emotional Disturbance (ED), and Other Health Impairment (OHI).


Q: Does Wallace Academy accept students that do not have an Individualized Education Plan (IEP)? 

A: No, Wallace Academy only accepts students that have an existing IEP. 


Q: Does Wallace Academy only accept students that are struggling with school refusal behaviors and chronic absenteeism? 

A: Although Wallace Academy specializes in serving students that are struggling with school refusal behaviors and chronic absenteeism, Wallace Academy also serves students that may benefit from a smaller group setting, therapeutic interventions, and highly individualized academic instruction.


Q: What time does the school day start and end for students?

A: The school day starts at 8:30 AM, Monday through Friday. The school day ends at 2:30 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. There is an early dismissal at 1:30 PM on Wednesdays. All students have access to online coursework outside regular school hours.


Q: Can my student(s) drive themselves to-and-from school?

A: Wallace Academy is a closed campus. Students must be driven to-and-from school by a parent or guardian, or receive transportation through their district.
