I started my career as a special education teacher. I hold Master’s degrees as a Behavior Intervention Specialist, Curriculum Adaptation Specialist, and in School Leadership. Most recently, I was a school administrator in a public school district. My prior experience is almost exclusively in the private therapeutic day school setting. I take pride in advocating for students/families, working closely with districts on the most challenging cases, and finding creative ways to support students and lead teams.

My clinical experience is primarily within private therapeutic day schools. My most recent experience has focused on school anxiety and school refusal, an area in which I have developed an expertise. In addition to my work in therapeutic day schools, I have also worked in private practice for 8 years, with the last 3 years owning and operating my private practice where I provide individual and family therapy, for clients of all ages. My approach to working with students and families is centered around building a trusting relationship and creating a safe and supportive environment in which students and families can rebuild, heal, and regain functioning as active participants in their communities. Our focus clinically is to provide holistic care in supporting the student and family system, building on protective factors, and creating opportunities for positive youth development.

I started my career as a teacher’s aide. After 2 years, I made the decision to continue forward with my education and pursue my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. Upon graduation, I immediately began working as a program therapist in private therapeutic day school settings, and remained in that setting for several years. I greatly enjoy working collaboratively with students and their families in a school setting, and I am excited to have the opportunity to continue positively impacting students' lives at Wallace Academy.
